Our Story: From Lafayette Park to Global Impact

In 1995, what began with a simple act of compassion in Lafayette Park, Washington, DC, became the heartbeat of DK Webb Global Ministries. Bishop Deborah K. Webb and her young sons delivered blankets and hot meals to those experiencing homelessness just steps from the White House. Those encounters revealed the shared humanity across all backgrounds and sparked a lifelong mission to uplift the vulnerable and became one of the ministry’s most enduring missions .
Her motivation was not only to serve those in need but also to instill the value of compassion and service in her two young sons. Each week they accompanied her to the park, helping distribute meals and essentials to individuals experiencing homelessness. Lafayette Park, located directly across from the White House, was one of the most visible places in the city where many individuals without stable housing gathered.

During these encounters, Bishop Webb met people from a wide array of socio-economic, educational, cultural, and generational backgrounds—individuals whose lives had intersected through the shared reality of homelessness. Through these experiences, she discovered an important and often overlooked truth: many of those living on the streets were not simply victims of poverty, but individuals in urgent need of mental health care, support, and compassion.
These experiences deepened the ministry’s understanding of the complexities faced by vulnerable populations. It reinforced the ministry’s dual commitment to both spiritual care and practical action.

From those early days of direct outreach in Lafayette Park, DK Webb Global Ministries has grown into a global force. Through healing conferences, revival services, retreats, leadership trainings, and educational forums ,media broadcasts reaching millions, and ongoing partnerships; we continue to illuminate minds, transform lives, and advocate for those in need.
From Lafayette Park to the world, our journey remains anchored in faith, compassion, and the relentless pursuit of a better future for all.

Bishop DK Webb has dedicated her life to serving and inspiring others to BE MORE! One of her greatest passions over the past three decades has been empowering women of color from puberty throughout life. She has hosted numerous workshops,conferences,prayer summits and trainings for women. As an educator, professional chaplain, mental health advocate and thought influencer she has assisted and advised countless young/older women in pursuit of their dreams and aspirations in the sacred as well as secular arenas. Her life epitomizes that of a SERVANT at heart who loves to provide tools to assist others to SOAR and EXCEL in life!
